| Picking up in November: free bowling, etc (from 11/09/02) |

Things have gotten a little busier again for the Deltabilly Boys; while we are continuing our late night Mondays at El Matador, and our Wednesday and Thursday nights at the Seaport on Bourbon (as Schatzy and The DBs, respectively), we are back on the Tuesday night slot at Mid City Lanes Rock 'n' Bowl. This time, however, we're sweetening the deal: free shoes and bowling with the $5 cover charge! This is a wonderful deal, and it's a great place to hear this band. Also, we have just commited to Fridays at the Spotted Cat for the 6:30 to 9:30 slot. At this teeny club across Frenchmen St from Snug Harbor and d.b.a., The Boys and I turn down for a nearly-acoustic set. I'm breaking out the old National guitar that served me so faithfully all those years on the streets, and Paul's new stand-up cocktail drum kit looks and sounds great! It may be a quieter venue, but it has a high energy, back-to-the roots feel. An added bonus is that Paul, Greg and I are followed by New Orleans' premier young traditional jazz combo, the New Orleans Jazz Vipers. All this for no cover! See you there.

| Slowing down for October (from 10/14/02) |

The band has not been so busy this month, with a few cancellation due to Tropical Storm Isadore and Hurricane Lili, and less club work. We are no longer playing regularly at Margaritaville, for one thing; this is a bit of a shock, as I have been playing there weekly for seven years, but there are still places people can come see us. While we are not playing Tuesday nights at the Rock 'n' Bowl in October, we expect to be back there in November (updates pending). And our Monday night gig has continued at El Matador, as well as JL & the DBs Thursdays at The Seaport on Bourbon, and Schatzy there on Wednesdays. For Bourbon Street, this is a surprisingly intimate setting. The only downside is the eighties rock cover band blaring from across the street. Another pleasant addition to the schedule has been a semi-regular appearance at Christiano's restaurant in Houma, Louisiana. This is fine eating and a cozy little lounge, in case you're in the area. We normally play there twice a month on a Friday or Saturday.
In other news, I have been getting reports that the latest album "Jeremy Lyons & The Deltabilly Boys," has been receiving airplay in Italy, Australia, Germany, France, and Spain, as well as in the US. Our radio mailouts are generally by request only, so if you have a dj in your area who you think would play our music, give them a call and seeif they've got it, or drop us an email.
Cheers!

| New Weekly Schedule; Live CD (From 07/18/02) |
| The Deltabilly Boys have shuffled their weekly New Orleans gigs schedule; after years in the prime time Fiday and Saturday night slots at Margaritaville, the band has moved to Fridays 3-6 pm and Sundays 9:30 to midnight. This schedule frees up the band to take other weekend gigs. The schedule change has also inspired the Boys to re-vamp their Margaritaville presentation; instead of the full-on electric sound, the band is returning to its acoustic roots. The National guitar which Jeremy played for years on the streets (pictured on the cover of "Deltabilly Swing") has come out of a five-year retirement. |
